Money Moves is designed to work without knowing who you are. This policy explains the small amount of data involved in running the site, in plain language.

1. Data we collect directly: essentially none

We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't collect your name, email address, or location. The currency converter runs entirely in your browser: the amount and currencies you enter are sent only to the rate provider's API to fetch a conversion, and we don't store or log them.

If you contact us by email, we receive whatever you include in your message (your name, email address, and message text). We use it only to reply, and we don't share it with anyone.

2. Cookies and local storage

Our own cookies: none. This site does not set any first-party cookies.

Local storage: your browser may keep a copy of the last successfully fetched crypto prices (with a timestamp) so we can show you something useful if the price feed is temporarily unreachable. This data never leaves your device; clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Third-party cookies: the embedded advertising slots and the data providers we call (ExchangeRate-API, CoinGecko) may set their own cookies or collect technical data according to their own policies. We don't control those.

3. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited, so we can improve the site. Where analytics tools are used, they are configured to avoid collecting personally identifying information. If we ever switch to a different analytics provider, we'll update this section.

4. Advertising

This site is supported by advertising. When ad slots are filled (currently no ads are shown), advertising partners such as Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

Live data is fetched from:

Your browser contacts these services directly; they receive your IP address as part of the normal request, which is how the internet works. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies. Read more about how we use these data feeds on our About page.

6. Children's privacy

Money Moves is a general-audience financial reference site and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

7. Your rights

Because we don't maintain accounts or profiles, there is generally nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you emailed us and want your message deleted, just reply to it or write to hello@example.com and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted here for at least 30 days.
